Shungiku Small Leaf

Humble green popular in Japanese cuisine, using many different cooking methods. Light-green stems with light-green, serrated leaves. Crisp texture with moderate flavour intensity and tastes predictably ‘chrysanthemumy' - slightly bitter, with a grassy, tangy, herbal flavour. Mild in young leaves, more pronounced with age. Slow growing.
