The Story
Our very popular Kings Seeds Green Manure mix used for improving soil structure through creating root channels to aerate the soil and break up soil pans. Also fixes nitrogen from the soil via root nodules which is then made available when the plant is mulched and incorporated in the soil. Contains pea, lupin and oats. Best for spring sowing but suitable for sowing right through to late summer. Mid and late summer sowings may be left to winter over and dug in during spring. Cover seed lightly when sown.
North Island: You can sow slightly later (April–early May) due to milder winters.
South Island: Aim for March–April to allow enough establishment before cold sets in.
